Real and Challenging: GBA Students Successfully Execute Tour & Travel Business in Bandung

Dinda and the Karidia team, students of Global Bridge Academy (GBA), have proven that the most effective way to learn business is by diving straight into the field. As part of their Tour & Travel business class project, they successfully managed a trip for the Fortunela community to Bandung. While it began as an academic assignment, the experience became a pivotal moment for Dinda to learn full responsibility, serving as the facilitator and primary liaison between the team and the client from the preparation stage through to execution. Significant challenges loomed from the start, ranging from having zero experience in designing tour packages to the difficulty of securing their first client. On the ground, their mental fortitude was tested by technical hurdles, such as miscommunication regarding dining venues and rainy weather that disrupted the schedule. However, these obstacles proved to be invaluable lessons, sharpening the team’s communication skills and professionalism in handling unexpected situations in front of the client. This experience had a profound impact on Dinda, building the confidence that she and her team are capable of executing projects they once deemed impossible. This project reinforces that at GBA, students do not just dwell on theory; they are forged into practitioners ready to face the real-world dynamics of the professional industry.
