GBX Day One: The Journey Begins Embarking on a Study Trip to Japan

Global Bridge Academy Xchange (GBX) is one of Global Bridge Academy’s latest programmes, launched in 2026. This student exchange programme takes place from 30 September to 7 October 2026 in Fukuoka, Japan, offering a range of learning experiences and opportunities to explore Japanese culture and the educational environment. Under the theme “The Journey Begins”, the first day marked the start of the participants’ journey as they embarked on the full GBX programme. The departure took place on 30 September 2026. All participants gathered at Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 20.30 WIB for a briefing and a joint prayer before the journey began. Ahead of departure, the participants bid farewell to their families and asked for their prayers so that the entire programme in Japan would run smoothly. This moment was also marked by a group photo session with parents and the organising committee who had prepared the GBX programme. Once all preparations were complete, the participants got ready to board the flight, scheduled for between 00:55 and 01:00 WIB. Enthusiasm was evident on the faces of the participants, who were ready to embark on a new experience in Japan. They were full of enthusiasm to learn, explore their new surroundings and gain valuable experiences through the GBX programme. This journey marks the first step in a series of eight activities, ranging from ‘The Journey Begins’, ‘Welcome to Fukuoka’, ‘Japanese School Life’, ‘A Home Away from Home’, ‘Beyond Borders’, ‘Learning with Omoiyari’, ‘Exploring Campus Life’, to ‘The Final Chapter’. The first day is not merely the start of their journey to Japan, but also the beginning of new experiences and learning that will form a valuable part of their journey.
